Summer in Wawa meant swimming and camping. This picture was taken in the mid fifties at what is the William Teddy Park today. The boy pictured here is thought to be Glen Campbell with Eric Sillanpaa's dog, Dickie.

Wawa was very active in Scouting in the 1950's. Thought to be taken at the Union Hall in 1956, this photo shows the Scout leaders, active at the time. From Left to Right, they are Cec James, Gord Lohnes, Jack Calwell, Frank MacDonald, Rudy Rice, Hank Scott, and John Morrison.
