This picture was taken at the intersection of Highway 101 and Broadway in about 1961. Broadway was the first paved street in town. A paved circle route existed along Broadway to Mackay Street, then to Third Ave rolling around to Broadway at the United Church. The Texaco station is on the corner of Broadway and Main. Next to the Texaco was Eli White's house.
This picture, taken August 2001, shows that the lane to Broadway, south of the Mission Road has been closed. The Esso gas station has since been removed.

This picture was taken at approximately where the present day Royal Bank of Canada is, on the corner of Caverhill and Broadway.
The date of this photo is thought to have been taken around 1940. It was taken at approximately where Ganley Street and Broadway Avenue intersect. The first white house on the right belonged to the Arnott family. It was demolished in the early sixties. The next white house belonged to the Lotoski's and still stands. The building on the left is the original schoolhouse. It is now part of the Township office building.
