This is Joe Thomas. He was a "Powder Monkey" and is seen here preparing explosives in the Victoria Pit.

This is a picture,taken at the Victoria Mine, of my dad (right) and his cousin Bob Burns.(left) Dad's cousin did a lot of the masonary work at the "Eagles Nest".

These men worked at the Open Pit at the Helen and Victoria Mines. The fellow in the right is Joe Thomas and was the only one identified.
