My Dad, George "Foxy" Burns is standing in the operators cab of the shovel. It appears that the shovel is down for maintenance because there is a worker on the boom. Dad operated the shovel for about ten years.

This photo shows the ore cars being pushed into the loading shed. The cars were loaded by gravity with ore falling through chutes at the bottom of the ore pile.

This photo shows a Euclid truck being loaded with ore. The ore was transported to a dumping station where the ore fell down a shaft to a underground crushing station. The ore was crushed and transported back to the surface to the stock piles over the train loading shed.

This aerial photo of the mine looks from east to west and shows the two waste dumps at the east end of the mine. The mine was in the early stage of production.
